Occupational Therapist

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for the planning and provision of high quality Occupational Therapy services to clients of the Goulburn Transitional Aged Care Service (TRACS)
The TRACS targets people who have completed their hospital stay and who will benefit from low level therapy and personal care support, in their home environment, to complete their recovery, optimise their function and explore their long-term care options.
The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary TRACS team to optimise each client’s rehabilitation outcomes. They will largely work in the community and will also direct the work of an Allied Health Assistant.
This position is a temporary 12 month position with the view increasing hours as the program places increase. There may also be a possibility for an increase in hours and scope of practice if the TRACS Service combines with the Community Acute and Post Acute program during 2010.
